Permanent commission allows you to be the part of this elite group for your whole life, till retirement.There are again more then a couple of ways to get a permanent commission.these are:-

1. The perfect and most advisable way to get permanent commission is to clear UPSC exam after your 12th class and join NDA(National defence academy),Pune. After written exam, you will face SSB interview and medical exam.NDA will provide you graduate degree after almost 4 years of training.This long interval of training promises the complete development of an individual.

2. You can join IMA(Indian military academy),Dehradun by clearing CDS Examination followed by SSB and medical exam.

3. You can also apply through UES(university Entry Scheme) in your pre-final year.Time period of training is 1 year.

4. 10+2 tech entry after +2 exam.Time period is 1 year after commissioning.

5. Already Graduates can go for TGS(Technical Graduate Scheme) to join IMA.Time period of training is 1 year.

6. Direct Entry(without written exam)time period of training is one and half year.
