Pakistan

1. Taliban, Al-Queda, Lashkar-e-toiba Jihadist groups and tribal warlords Tehreek-e-Nafaz-e-Mohammadi want to impose sharia in Pakistan 

2. Gulbuddin Hekmatyar of Hizb-e-Islami also cooperate with Taliban and Al-Qaeda in South Afghanistan and Pakistan 


 

Afghanistan


1. Al-Queda based largely out of Pakistan's Quetta is an umbrella group for: 
A. Harkut-ul-Mujahideen, 
B. Harkat-ul-Jehad-ul-Islami(Huji) 
C. Jaish-e-Mohammad 

2. Jalaudin Haqqari and son Sarajuddin organise high profile terror acts in Afganistan - fighting for Islamic emirates in Waziristan Shura ittehad-ul-Mujahiddin

3. Lashkar-e-Toeba formed in Kunar, Afganistan is one of the word's largest terrorist groups next to Al-Queda. Its operations are majorly directed against India.

Harkut-ul-Mujahideen, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, Laskar-e-toeba, Jaish-e-Mohamaad, Al Badar activities in Jammu and Kashmir region.

ULFA, NDFB, KLO activities in Assam and other East Indian States. 



Nagaland

NSCN-K, NSCN-JM has the oldest insurgency in Nagaland


Manipur

Manipur faces the largest no. of Militant groups. KYKL (Kanglaei Yaol Kanba) aim to cleanse Manipur society. UNLF is declared separated group.

Tripura

NLFT, AFFT groups having basses in Bangladesh have shown activities in Tripura

Jharkhand, Bengal and Orissa

Maoists, Naxalites, PWG Worst affected states Chattisgarh, Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bengal, Andhra Pardesh and Maharashtra
